HELLO THERE

If you've ever wanted to see into the inner workings of my brain, them you've come to the perfect little nook-and-cranny in this dark corner of the interweb. Here, in this small homey little place just down cyberspace road, I unload my rants, thoughts, feelings, and other nonsense onto this blog. No Matter What

Hello everyone.

Well, these past few days have been quite eventful. We're pretty sure that I'm either developing the precursors to nodes, or perhaps it's just muscular dystrophy. Whatever it is, it's caused a lot of grief and we're struggling to get through it. Thanks to my wonderful friends and family, though, it's easier than if I were completely alone.

I have a little poem for you all that I hold very dear to my heart. I don't exactly have very much time tonight to write a whole post, but I felt that I needed to unveil my thoughts at the moments. So, without further adieu, my thoughts. Enjoy :)

No Matter What
By The Poet

No matter how deep the deepest of oceans,
Or how high the highest of mountains,
I’ll dive them with you,
I’ll scale them with you,
I promise you.

No matter how long the longest of roads,
Or how heavy the heaviest of loads,
I’ll travel them with you,
I’ll carry them for you,
Yes I will.

No matter how cold the coldest of winters,
Or how hot the hottest of summers,
I’ll be there for you,
I’ll never abandon you,
I’ll be with you.

No matter how happy you are,
Or how sad you are,
I’ll share the laughter with you,
I’ll share the sorrow with you,
I’ll never leave you.

No matter how far apart we are,
Or how distant our memories are,
I’ll never stop thinking about you,
I’ll never forget you,
You’ll always be a part of me.

No matter what happens in the future,
Or what the world may become,
Or what happens to me or you,
Or all the possibilities that could happen…..

You’ll be my dream,
Now and always,
All the people that we have lost,
Or the dreams that have faded……
Never forget them.

The Downs of Being a Singer

Hello friends.

I know I announced somewhere on the interwebs that I only update every other day or so, but tonight I felt like splurging my ideas out onto digitalized paper, so here I am. Thanks to the eventfulness of my life at the moment, I have a lot to say. Then again, I have a lot to say on just about every matter, don't I? They say a picture's worth a thousand words, and you can bet I've got a thousand more words for every single one of those thousand words you have to say about that picture. It's clear I'm a chatterbox who doesn't know when to shut up. See, I'm even doing it right now. All I do is ramble ramble ramble. Stop it Bronson. Seriously. On to more important things!

Today started out with me sleeping peacefully on my reasonably comfortable, slightly chilly queen-sized bed in the minuscule hole-in-the-wall that is my bedroom. There I was, snoozing away to the delightful tunes of whatever FM 96.9 "The Mix" had decided to play at the moment. The time was 5:29:59. On any other day, I would awaken at 5:30 AM exactly, get out of bed and move on with my usual morning routine. Today, however, thanks to the weird every-Wednesday-PLC-schedule-whatchamacallit deal, I was supposed to wake up at 6:00. It's not much of a sleep in, I know, but it does the job... sort of. But today, for whatever reason, the alarm clock didn't even have to ring. I woke up at 5:30 on the dot. TO THE TEE. My internal clock had willingly screwed me over. Those last thirty precious minutes of wistful sleep could have been mine, but no. My brain had to rob me of them.

Despite my little morning wake-up incident, however, the rest of my day continued on as it usually did. Nothing too good, and nothing too bad. Nothing too interesting, and nothing too boring. That is, until, I got to my choir class. Our advanced-mixed-chorus here is called La Camarata. We're a pretty large ensemble with about seventy students. I sing first mezzo-tenor, which in the case of those of you who don't know a thing about singing, first mezzo-tenor is the second highest range a man can possibly sing. If you want to go all music-theory on me, then I can tell you that I sing from an F#1 to an F#3. Precisely. Today, whilst singing a gorgeous, reasonably slow song by Eric Whitacre entitled "The Seal Lullaby". Fun Fact: Eric wrote this song as the title piece for a Dreamworks movie that was later replaced by Kung Fu Panda.

Anyhow, while we were singing one of the high parts, our magnificent teacher, I felt something was wrong. I could feel a very faint vibration in the depths of my throat. Something in my vocal chords, perhaps? No, it couldn't be. I warm up and warm down every time I sing, and I never sing for more than three hours a day. Doctors orders, I kid you not! Nevertheless, there was something going on in my voice, and it didn't sound good. Suddenly, I felt my heart skip a beat. Panic rose up in my chest. Oh, please. For the love of all things holy. No. It couldn't be.

Was it possible that I was getting... nodes?

Again, for those of you who don't know a thing about singing, nodes are calluses that develop on your vocal chords when you work them too much. Nodes basically never go away, and the only way to get rid of them is through long, expensive, painful and complicated surgery in which they stick a tiny electric blade down your throat and literally shave the nodes off of your vocal chords. Most singers who go through this process are never able to sing ever again. Forever.

I nearly started crying. What if I was getting nodes? Then I would lose my ability to sing and then what would my life be? Absolutely nothing, I tell you. I began to panic. But, I stopped myself quickly. I have a bad tendency to overreact at just about anything, so I could be throwing this way out of proportion, right? Right! Or at least that's what I was hoping... so, for the rest of the day, I tried (though in vain) to stop singing and not talk as much. My voice was feeling better, but nevertheless, I am determined to go see a doctor the second I visit Utah this Christmas. Or sooner, if that's even possible! You see, being a singer is taxing in way too many ways, and many people would look at this and think "Why in Heaven's name would you want to do that?" And you know what? I can't quite tell them why. I just know that it's what I love and nothing is getting in the way of that. No, not even nodes.

This post was extremely pointless, and I probably didn't address the title topic at all, but I'm in no mood what so ever to delete and retype. So here you go <3

Over and out.

The World is Moving On

I wonder if anyone ever reads this blog. I know I do. But I was thinking to myself tonight, "I have a blog, don't I? So why don't I use it?" It just sits there, doesn't it? Bored, probably. Lonely, I would assume. In need of rejuvenation! A new life for this sad little corner of cyberspace. Considering I have PLENTY going on in my life that I could write for days on end, but I don't exactly have the time for that as a matter of fact. So, I'll write what I can before I get too tired and then I'll go to bed, I thought to myself.

And not knowing quite why, I sat down and began to edit, rephrase, rewrite, delete etc etc etc so on and so forth. You get the picture. I looked over posts that had been started and finished and others which had never been completed. Unfinished descriptions of little snippets of my grotesquely interesting and incredibly hectic next-to-normal kind of life where everything is sprinkled with just a dash of crazy. Yep. This is me. I'm not a psycho, I swear.

But I never said I was normal >:D

Anywho, I'm now sitting at my laptop at 12:01 past midnight, not entirely certain what to do with myself. School starts later tomorrow as it does every Wednesday thanks to some PLC meeting whatchamacallit or something or other. I don't understand it, so don't ask me. And now it's 12:03. That didn't feel like just two minutes... I call shenanigans! What's this? Now it's 12:04!!! I can't believe what's happening! The world is moving on without me, I fear, and, even as I speak, it soon may become 12:05 and I haven't done a single productive thing with my thoughts.

This should tell me something about myself. And what is that? That I need to finish this post, escape from the internet, turn off my laptop, and go to bed. Seriously. But hey, don't shoot me for it! You came here to read about what went on inside my head and you got it. Have a headache yet? Don't worry. If you keep reading this blog you will. Patience is a virtue, one we must all hold to even if it seems to be for the most lunatic of reasons. Ludicrous, I tell you.

Okay, I've rambled nonsense and who-knows-what for long enough now. Y'all (even though I'm not sure who "y'all" is) can go back to your normal lives now. Or at least seemingly normal. Never mind.

Goodnight <3 :)

It's Been Too Long

Hello everyone!
Sorry I haven't been posting for a while. Currently, I've had a lot of work on my hands. Unfortunately, I do not have really anything to post right now. The Haus has been very busy lately, so I just decided to drop in and say hello!

I hope that works for now...
